I love to find out when reading about a poet, architect or a singer that they also painted and or created works of art that fed their soul. Of course most people have heard about Tony Bennett and his paintings, I just wanted to dive into his work for selfish reasons. I wanted to take a closer look at what and when he began painting, for myself!

I must say my favorite paintings of Tony Bennett (Anthony Benedetto) are the colorful ones. A street scene comes to mind using heavy paint strokes and possibly palette knife, and painted in oil.

Born in 1926 in the City of New York and lived and died in New York in 2023 made him the ripe age of just 13 days shy of 97 years old. We had Anthony Benedetto for a long time and he was and will always be appreciated for all that he contributed to music and the arts!
